![]() The segment she has on resolving a bullying problem at school is worth reading the book alone. There is a lot to learn from her experience. Readers need not have a gender-creative child to appreciate her struggles and successes as a parent. Fortunately, we do get to learn from her trial and error. We, as readers, desperately want her to find the answers to these questions, but of course it's never that easy. This book does a great job of showcasing the real life journey of being a parent. ![]() Is CJ gay? Transgendered? Is it even fair to think about the sexuality of a three-year-old? Does he just like 'girl' stuff? Incredible! Lori's writing is brisk and witty, making it thoroughly entertaining as she describes her parenting decisions while raising a gender-bending young boy who enjoys playing with "girl" toys and wearing "girl" clothes. ![]()
